Permanent Conference for Working Women Participates with Egypt's Working Women

In the celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

In preparation of the celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Permanent Conference for Working Women is launching a campaign to demand from the Egyptian government ratifying the International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention no. 190 of the year 2019 which relates to oppose violence and harassment in the world of work for 16 days from November 25, 2020 until December 10, 2020 which is corresponding with the International Human Rights Day.

Campaign activities:

• Begins on 25/11/2020 with announcement of the campaign's founding statement.

• On 26/11/2020.. Campaign video presentation

• The campaign continues its activities daily by presenting and explaining an article of the Convention for 16 days

• On 10/12/2020.. A technical seminar to conclude the 16th campaign, through which screening of the film " In the Time of the Butterflies " at the headquarters of the Center for Trade Union & Workers' Services (CTUWS).

The Permanent Conference for Working Women continues always to work for achieving its mission and objectives for which it was founded to support and empower women workers and women trade unionists in all their social, economic and legislative problems that because we believe that "rights" do not acquire in the celebration annually for 16 days.. but in a continuous work every day.
