** Release of Mahalla Textiles Workers**

The Center for Trade Union and Workers Services (CTUWS) congratulates the families of colleagues Wael Abu Zeid and Mohamed Tolba, as well as all employees of the Ghazl El-Mahalla Company, on the occasion of their release, Sunday, May 26, 2024. The Center extends its thanks and gratitude to all the solidarity efforts and calls for their release from civil society organizations, human rights organizations, trade unions, political parties, and the Solidarity of Trade Unions Federation (STUF). The Center appreciates the efforts of the lawyers and mediators who have followed the case since day one, and especially thanks Mr. Farid Zahran, President of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, for his efforts in mediating the release of the two colleagues.

The Center calls for the immediate release of all detained workers and unionists, including Sameh Zakaria, an ambulance worker detained in case No. 2412 of 2022, Ahmed Abdel Fattah, Assistant Secretary General of the Workers Union at East Delta Transport and Tourism Company, detained in case No. 2124 of 2023, and unionist Shadi Mohamed in Alexandria, who was arrested on April 29 for his solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
