There is a continuation of the series of abuse of labor and trade union leaderships who struggled over the past three years to cleanse public sector companies of corruption and negligence that rendered those companies in a lamentable situation. In a trade union scandal, Mohamed Omar, a labor leader and a trade unionist at Iron and Steel Company, was laid off after a comical and unprofessional investigation. General Syndicate of Engineering industries and Minerals decided to halt his membership at the trade union anticipating to place the decision to the General Council meeting scheduled for last Thursday. This decision to halt his membership coincided with the decision to lay him off work that was issued August 25 the previous year claiming that he incited workers for sit ins.

The administration of the General Trade Union confirms to the harassment to which workers are subjected. This management subjected Omar and his colleagues to the General Attorney based on documented claims and this is a proof of their corruption. The former government annulled these claims in a formal signed agreement with the company's workers during their sit- in last December.

In the same context Mohamed Saad good ,the company's chairman, continues in the policies of torturing voices of opposition within the company. After the  final dismissal of Ayman Ahmed Hefny and Mahmoud Abdel-Rahman , the transfer all of Mahmoud Abdel Dayem and Mohammed Nasr from the Department of panels to the department of transformers , places far away from the nature of their specialty ,the transfer of Imad Abdel Halim from the furnaces to heat treatment section , the stopping of Mohammad Omar from work ,etc. The Chairman Syed Saad Eddin was transfered from cold sector to furnaces to work in a place that is closed during official visits as it doesn't comply to occupational safety and healthful working environment measures. This procedure was carried in spite of thewell known fact that Mr. Saad Eddin suffers from some heart conditions problems in the heart, which is a threat to his life!

It is worth mentioning that the labor leaders previously referred to were the leaders of workers in the sit- in, which lasted 18 days, in the month of December .This was followed by the signing of an agreement between the workers' representatives and the two ministers. This agreement recognizes the corruption of Chairman of the Board of Directors and the necessity of dismissing him in December 12, 2013 The government did not commit   to implement the terms of the agreement, which was considered as green light by Chairman of the Board of Directors green light to do what he wants .. He began a series of abusing workers who signed the agreement . On May 4 last year there has been an assassination attempt for Mohammad Omar. He was subjected to an assault by two masked men inside the company's headquarters. Mohammad Omar accused the Chairman of the Board of Directors to be involved in the process of his assault.

In addition, the General Trade Union of Metal Industries froze his membership in the union and abolished his trade union reordering in response to his deeds and to expose the corruption of the company's management and the trade union. On Jan. 22 he filed a complaint to the Attorney General ( 1189 to 2014 petitions) against Mohamed Saad Nageeda  at head of the company's board, accusing him of incurring the company losses amounting to 892 million pounds based reports of violations of the Central Auditing Organization, which clearly revealed losses for the company for about 92% of its capital stressing  that most of these losses are due to mismanagement and corruption by the management of the company, which deliberately disrupt the company's production and evaluation of production and all to the benefit of its competitors. This is in addition to distributing allocations and profits on the head of the Governing Council - despite the loss of the company. All of this is in violation of the law and other facts revealed by the reports of the Central Auditing Organization.

CTUWS declares its solidarity with workers leadership against abusing policies of leaders and harassment of opposition forces inside the company that is followed by the head of the company in cooperation with the General Trade Union and Trade Union Committee inside the company which does not show any signs of bewilderment toward the dismissal of Mohamed Omar; thus, ripping him of any protection and offering him as a prey for the chairman of the board. Everyone realizes that the board has never been on the side of the workers nor has been advocating their rights at any one incident. They are only a group of beneficiaries who direct union work to their personal interests. They aim at silencing workers and passing laws that might degrade works and decrease their rights. Therefore, CTUWS requests interference to impede and halt the agenda of the General Association that will be held next Thursday to confirm the dismissal of Mohamed Omar. Members of this committee are not elected ones but rather an administrative committee who has no authority to call for a general meeting or to take any decision regarding any unionist.
